Next up my brand new in box

Tattered but still in tact .

My 1988 Electrolux Marquis edition one of my favorites I love the color my next favorite metal Electrolux is the last one made the ultra lux classic . I had to replace the original braided hose because it froze in place because it's been sitting unused for years in box .

Dan,

Sorry to hear you don't like your Felix. I still really want one, as I have mostly low pile carpets and lots of hardwood floors, which is where they really excel.

It's a good thing that there are so many other vacuums in the world. We can all have our favorites and dislike whatever we please. To each his own.

Keep the pics coming!

Dan, I love that pearl constellation you have. I bought a stainless one on eBay, the seller listed it as mint and I had to put a new motor in when it got here. :(

I wished I could find a 120v Maytag one as well but I doubt that will happen lol.

We do our home/garden show this weekend, so I'll be up to my neck in brand new Riccar brilliances, radiances and Maytag m1200s. Also have a ton of new dyson v6 cordless units to sell.

I hope all is well!

Newer Filter Queen vacuums just don't thrill me-their plastic canisters-no more "paddle" power switches.Remember when they used the rocker switch to select speed-hi or lo.Liked the metal body machines better-and they had more powerful motors!Suction and Baird guages showed the diffrence.I have a new one similar to the one you show-just don't use it-and their cords are just TOOO SHORTT!I spelled it that way to get the point.Seen a few of these newer machines come in to the Sew&Vac place to have that rocker speed-power switch replaced. The paddle ones held up better.

I think since this is a European vacuum (German) they designed it for Europe then said hey we should sell it in the U.S. just like Dyson has done meanwhile he has been trying to get his machines to clean our deep pile carpets and he hasn't been successful yet .

I really wanted to like this Felix but as you say thank God we have many brands to choose from .

Dan,

If you ever decide that you want to free up some space by selling that Felix, I would most certainly be interested in it.

Knowing you, of course, it is brand new condition, unlike so many other used machines that come up.

Dan, I bought my Mom that exact same Hoover Elite in 1996 to replace a Eureka Victory 10 amp upright that she bought to retire her Kirby....she claimed I somehow broke her Eureka so I bought the Hoover to shut her up. I think she was fed up with the Eureka after 4 months of owning it though, that's why she wanted the Hoover. She claimed that Hoover Elite was nearly as good as the Kirby, mainly because she had pets & she could stuff the bags right to the top before needing to be changed. Mom used it combined with her old 89 canister & had it for 6 years before I talked her out of it :-). Not nearly as good as a Convertible, but pretty good for a cheaply made plastic Hoover.

For a plastic vacuum that was made right here in the U.S. I feel it was of very good quality I have repaired many at my store and most were beat to HE double hockey sticks but they took the abuse .

They were a great replacement as they cleaned really well and they sold well also .

I loved them and still love Hoover Even today's .

It FINALLY arrived wow

VERY IMPRESSED just as Tom Gasko said it would be but it's much more amazing in person in my home . QUIET/POWEFUL two words to describe it but gorgeous sleek and sexy could be added to the description of what I believe is "THE" perfect canister vacuum that is so user friendly whisper quiet ultimate power sexy yet simple sophisticated design . This vacuum also comes with Weezee seal of approval she LOVES her new Prima as does her daddy . Tacony/Riccar have a new a true top selling winner on its hands . Toms influence along with the vacuum museum is evident in the design and final product I am truly impressed and it has been worth the wait . Love the wand talk about quality. The hose is the perfect length 8.5 feet with suction relief valve and comfortable hand grip plus the canister is very light . The cord winder works flawlessly just like an Electrolux add to that a LONG cord this is "THE" perfect canister . I love the Electrolux dusting brush , I love the "furget it " pet tool it cleans Weezees hair like magic .
The bags are perfection at its best the superb quality is impressive.
Tom Gasko made sure I got serial number 2 off the assembly line he has number one of course .

Bravo and congratulations Tacony and Tom Gasko this is an awesome canister vacuum .
I give this is a Kirbyloverdan "MUST BUY " !!!

The Prima looks like a great American competitor to the Miele lineup. From the side it looks very similar to a S8. How much dirt do you think the bag can hold? Outside it looks huge, but it's hard to tell from the picture when it's installed. This might be a silly question, but is the canister body made in St. Louis? It looks very sturdy and I bet Tacony will sell a good amount of these. Just please don't be too expensive. I might need one of these... :)

Nathaniel

I am not sure how much dirt but the bags are huge .

As stated in previous threads the canister is made in China for now until sales pick up
which I think will be very soon then will be made in St.Louis Tacony factory .

The powernozzle is made here in the U.S. at Taconys U.S. factory .

It is miles ahead of Miele way longer hose large normal sized attachments .
