Touch power handle grip
What Kyle is referring to is a feature exclusive to Eureka's TOL uprights from 1972-1976 or so.
Basically it was a little squeeze bar/momentary contact switch that turned the cleaner on when you squeezed the handle grip. On paper it would look like a cool feature, but in use it was really a pain in the A**.
It was first available in 1972 on the Golden Vanguard uprights, models 2082 and 2092, the ultra deluxe version of Pete's model, which also featured cord reel, and on the 2092 a chrome hood.
I have a beautiful 2092 that won 2 ribbons at the 2004 Chicago convention. One of my favorite Eureka machines!
