Hi:

Love the Lewyt Leader. Gorgeous machine (LOL - I'm envious - I havnt been able to find one yet). Just a question for those that know though. Is that not the rug nozzle from a Lewyt 88? I thought all the Leaders came with the style shown in this pic I got off the net.

Thanks everybdoy. The Lewyt I has the one that can be dialed to your needs. It has also somwhat of a gleaner strip on it that when you push foward it opens and then when u push back it closes. There is also a setting for on bare floors. It is very powerful. I compared teh lewyt to a 1981 kirby and u can see the lewyt beat it in air flow but that doesnt mean better carpet cleaning. They are both great machines.

Theres actually a very funny story aboutt eh hoovers. The first portable I got was when I went in to the junk shop that looked like the owner bought alll the jukk from all the garge sales and nvever did anything with it. I was walking aorund nd it was stuck between two suitcasses. I knew what it was emmediatly. I brought it home turned it on nothing so I was bound a determine to find out what wa wrong. Outside thank god I started tearing it apart. One screw by one untill I pullled off the top. The motor looks like it was one of the ones that was dumped by electrolux in the ocean. The motor was actual;lly full of maybe 30 year old water. IT WAS GROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then this machine The one in the picture I actually got at goodwill for only about 5 bucks. It needed teh wands which is what i salvaged from the last machine. TI is ok in cleaning no a everyday machine. It feels like you pulling on one of those carts that you use to carry lugage on.

My work shop actually took all of the holiday weekend to complete. Although it doesnt seem like the holidays in central pa with it be 70 degrees. But we put up 2 4 inch 40 watt flouresent bulbs. Also we put up a sheet of per board. And carpet. What that actually was at one time was a coal bin. We ahd the buffer mounted there but then I saw that when you turned it on you would sweat the roof was coming down it vibrate some much so my dad is going to make me a stand.

Well happy spring

Hi Doug!

Well, the Leader didn't come with the nozzle, so I simply supplied Evan with one. I have no clue what that nozzle came from, although it is almost identical to the one with my Lewyt Golden. I hope you find one eventually! They are fun machines and are slightly different than the other models. The filter sits below the bag...there is a cage below the filter...there is no suction adjustment...that's about all I can think of off the top of my head besides the floor tool. Anyways, you all remember...you CAN do it with Lewyt! :-)

Dont worry I did the same thing Alan. I had a constalation at a yard sale. I said o what the heck. I bougth it. Never noing tyhat it hadf at elopscoping wand. It only had the one. So i just threw it out. Never noing. SO your ot alone.

I like the Sharpe upright. I have one, that belonged to an
elderly cousin. Got it when she moved to assisted living.
It is better built then the panasonics, plus the attachments
plug in the back just like panasonics with all the suction
one needs! Very user friendly.

Sharp

I saw in the picture that is says the Sharp is "Library" quiet. Just how quiet is this vacuum?

No its not. Logan its really not. I think a convertible or even the new filter queens which i still love are alot quiter. It works good. But bnot like filter queen.
