A Panasonic Canister w/powerhead...not TOL but a nice machine...It was marked $5.00 but everything was 50%...I really don't need another vacuum, but I couldn't resist for $2.50 lol It's in near mint condition as it was an estate sale and the entire home had hardwoods, so the powerhead is mint...the canister has a few scuffs, nothing a little elbow grease can't fix...it's in the garage waiting to be cleaned...then I'll bring it into the house...I may just use this a garage vacuum, but it's too nice...I may sell it, who knows...too early to tell...it's really just dusty, shows very little use... There was a hoover convertible there as well, it said "convertible elite" with a lacey pattern on the base...but not the bag, more goldish/yellow outer bag with a mustard yellow handgrip...but it was all beat up, they stored it in the garage, so there was rust and such, I couldn't save that one :(

Nice find!

Isn't that what we all say?  "I don't need another vacuum, but....."  It would be hard to resist something as nice as that Panasonic, and for the price you couldn't go wrong.

Great Score there, Brian! I would keep that as your house vacuum for awhile...you will be surprised at just how powerful they are, & how well they clean the carpet. One little thing you may consider doing though, depending on how thick your carpet is, is getting a secondhand Kenmore Power-Mate with the geared belt & better brushroll, without the Quick-Release. Those BOL Powerheads are OK on lower-pile carpet, but not so great on thicker carpets though. It should be easy to find. As well as a Power Mate JR for the cars too.

Nice find I had one for a few years, then parted it out after the PN quit, I got mine new on clearence for 95 bucks when a store was going out of business. I also scored a floor model at Sears on clearance for 80 bucks in 1997, I sold it to a friend who used it daily till 2005. Good luck with that one =)
