I thought they changed to a different, less good motor mid life on Silverado? Could be wrong, mine is older one.

Hmmm.....
I could swear I remember reading on here that there was a motor difference within that model line. I know a girlfriend of mine had one 20 years ago, and her mom wanted it really bad, so she gave it to her and wanted another. She found one, or could've been me, can't remember for sure. Within the first year, her motor went and her mom's is still going to this day. I think one of hers had the Silverado Deluxe sticker on top right behind the exhaust door, and one of them didn't. Unfortunately don't know which came first/later.

Someone here told me a few months ago to look for a sticker in the bag door, if it said to use genuine bags it had the newer, less good motor.Mine is free of that.
