It has been quite some time since I have had time to post my new finds on here. I have found a few more Hoover convertibles. I thought I would share some pictures. First up is a hoover model 36. This one was a $15.00 thrift store find.

Here is a model 66 I found at the same thrift store. It was $12.00. I still need to clean this one!

GREAT !

Very nice finds ! Love the convertible streamline, since I first saw it - as a kid - in Jerry Lewis 1962 movie "WHO's MINDING THE STORE ?"
The green and the yellow one are amazing ( the baby blue has that famous no-light-hood that I don't go crazy for ).
I wish we had such great color choice for our european HOOVERs too !

Anyway, VACUUMLAND - is getting more and more a cemetery of dead people - who are now divided in the new ruled categories and sub-categories - and easily skip or miss posts like this....happens more and more frequently that nobody answers to certain posts...a real pity !

headlights...

what a great lot of hoover convertibles that you've boughten there!! nice score!!!

i personally prefer the ones with the headlights on them. i just think they have a better look to them, personally. but i do have to admit, the turquoise one with no headlight does have a pretty color combination!!!
;o)

thanks for sharing your new finds.

you know, there is a vac shop that i took my eureka canister in, for an electrical cord rewinder replacement, for a stationary longer electrical cord. and they did have some vacuum cleaners there. but nothing that really caught my eye. but i guess that would be another place to buy a vacuum if you don't find any vintage ones at the 2nd hand stores???

thanks again for sharing your newest hoover convertibel additions. i loved seeing the pictures & colors!!!

Hoover Convertibles

I love all of the old metal style Hoover Convertibles (both with the Headlight and without) There is something about that low sound of an old convertible starting up and running that is just music to the ears. My favorite of all the Hoover Convertibles has to be the Lavender Model 33 special that was made for Agnes Moorhead (Endora on Bewitched) ..
