NICE FIND!! I want to find a machine like this by Eureka. Or I want to find our Canadian department store re-badge equivalent of this machine. It came from The Bay, marketed as a Beaumark, my step-grandmother used to have one.

My Username Alludes to a Kirby ...

... in which model had been purchased by both my parents (in November 1978, a closeout model from the 1977-78 season) and by my paternal grandparents (in which they bought theirs used, mfg. date June 1977, in Idaho from someone else during 1987 as compensation for the latter's financial troubles).

The one I have is the one my grandparents inherited from 1987-1998.

Does the hose have a split over there near the handgrip and I would've thought a machine this "deluxe" would at least have a cordwinder. But nonetheless, a great score overall.

Glad you're happy with the new Monty Wards, Brandon....

These were really good canisters for their time, and the Rotomatic powerhead one of the best ever made.

@Klectrolux: I have the blue Eureka Rotomatic powerteam from 1982 that is identical to this one, & a entry-level Beaumark powerteam, with all the original accessories & in mint shape, for only $50. They are out there, just keep checking the classifieds & internet. However, the one I REALLY want to get to round out my collection, is a Viking powerteam by Eatons; especially since The Bay is still around & Eatons is long gone, then I will be happy.

@alex: My blue Eureka Rotomatic that is identical to the Monty Wards did originally have a cordwinder, however, it stopped working years ago & new cordwinders from Eureka have been NLA for a long time now. I had to rewire it with a standard cord. This one probably had the cordwinder too, but Brandon will have to comment back to know for sure.

Hey Rob, I managed to find a Eureka PowerTeam on eBay for 50 bucks plus 90 bucks to ship. Broken hose on it though. Im going to goto my vac shop tomorrow o pick up a latch and felt pad for the FQ, I'll see if he has any PowerTeams. In the mean time, take a gander at these pages from an Eatons catalogue!

Here is the page that hangs out next to it. There is only a 2 page spread on canisters, the next page is rebadged Regina Quickbrooms I think. And the previous pages have carpet shampooers and small, Dustbuster like machines.

Oh yeah I can scan more. But there is only 2 more pages related to vacuums. I'll scan those later tonight.
