MW/Eureka

Probably mid 90s.Seems like MW called the appliance dept Electric Ave.May have a MW brochure in a box somewhere.
EBay vac looks good but not perfect & is one of the most deluxe.Has Sears upholstery and no wand or power nozzle. These are powerful and may run well if no water or dust from wrong or careless bag changes went through motor.

Jimmy...don’t you think it’s older? I think Eureka stopped making the Sweet Sixteen boxy-style canister body by end of the 1980’s. I think it’s from more like the mid-1980’s.

Eureka?

I think the black/white Ironsides was sold into the early 90s.And might the private labels have gotten a previous model or at least not all of the latest features??I probably have literature for reference but little time to search through it.

The only MW catalog I have is just a Christmas 1994 magazine, and the only Eureka it has in an upright based on the World Vac I think.

I do seem to remember that there was a red and black Ironsides in the early 90s.

Something about this purple MW does look 90s though, yet I don't know hardly anything about MW vacuums. There seems to be more info around from Kenmore during that era.

Turn to page 813 in the Spring/Summer 1991--

--J C Penney catalog and you will see a metal Eureka similar to above EBay vac with power nozzle at $299 and Express with newer PN at $259.Also Eureka uprights and various Hoover,Bissell,Regina and Panasonic models(no more Penncrest label). This was the closest literature I could find related to the MW/Eureka vac with only a few minutes to search.

Sorry but

yeah, I'd happily reference the needed sections, but my Montgomery Ward Catalog collection has been sequestered for a court case.

The awesome violet color looks very 1986ish, maybe a few years later. Also notice the silver color hose, but it's not the crush-proof. It's the original wire reinforced.
