Today, Joe Kassock came for lunch and a nice visit.
I haven't seen him in over a year. We had a great visit.
He'll post pics. We even did a "flower power" pic. There are 2 because; his knee issue wouldn't allow him to climb the stairs, and I wasn't able to carry any cleaners down the stairs. We were like Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder driving a van.He left with a few things. He also brought me a watermelon, one of my favorite foods. (I've lost 15 pounds).
He took pics and will post them tomorrow.
Thanks, Joe, for a nice visit.

He left with an upright made by Montgomery Ward,

"by Hoover", some long style "handivac" bags, and a seal greige dusting brush, he was missing for his Portapower.
Be brought me a few bottles of Lysol cleaner, (original scent). Some folks hate that smell.
It was hard to find.

It was good to have someone stop by this old place after so long.
True friends are there when you need them,... mutual respect. We've seen each other through a lot.
I've made a few excellent friends through both Vacuumland AND The VCCC.

I was reluctant to sell that MW (Hoover)

because, although it's in excellent condition, it isn't perfect.
I got this machine about 2 yrs ago from a former friend in NY.
We've had a major issue. KARMA can be terrible. I wanted it out of here, and now, it's gone.
Joe will enjoy it. We took pics of it and a Penncrest: 2 vacuums made BY Hoover FOR other companies. Joe will post these pics , along with others very shortly.

I had a great visit with John Long

on Saturday, he looks good we had a nice visit we talked about vacuums and next years convention it was the first time in all the years I've known him to see his back yard. The visit was good for both of us, we haven't seen each other in over a year because of covid, we just talked on the phone a lot. He gave me a Montgomery Ward made by Hoover vacuum, some bags and a dusting brush I needed. I am having some knee surgery soon and I'm going to be out of service for about 2 months and I'm feeling a little less scared about that after talking to John I know he will help me any way he can since I have no family that lives close that I can rely on except for my 93 year old father who can only do so much, although he's is getting around better then me right now. I thank God for good friend like him. I made many a friend since being a member of this club.
Joe.

Thanks, Joe

Everyday, I get a little better. I thought I'd wear my "Hoover Convertible Patent shirt, as it's big and non-restricting, hiding incisions, scars, bruises, etc.
We took pics of the "flower" Convertibles, including that odd model with the 1076 bag. They are from different areas of the house, (floors), because neither of us could navigate that "staircase" with cleaners.
I, too, have made lasting friendships through the club.
No pretense, lies, etc.
Joe is a very kind man, and is welcome here always. Mutual trust and respect... the perfect recipe.
And, thanks, Joe , for the Hoover steam mop pads and the Lysol. When I'm able, I have lots to do.
You can see the sawhorses in the living room, waiting for me to get to work.
