Metal Hoover Guardsman

Picked this beauty up today while getting some parts. I plan to restore it.

Any advice from Hoover experts would be greatly appreciated.

The restoration

I will tear it down and buff the housing clean the motor,this is a keeper it runs great but that black dump bag is going.The replacment will be a gray or red style A bag system. Feel free to give advice on where to get a new bagging system for a reasonable price.

Installed new motor brushes

with the top bearing plate removed I noticed the carbons were worn down so I installed new ones,As for the black dump bag it has a good size hole at the bottom "no good".I will be buffing the body out today and searching for a suitable replacment.
