XII

It does look like a model XII. I have a model XII but the tag on yours states 230 watts? Mine is 350 watts, so maybe yours is an earlier version of the model XII.

I also dont see a space for "cycles" (usually between 25 and 60) maybe this one was made to run on direct current (DC)?

Thanks, but still need more info

Thanks for the help. Will there be any other tags or characteristics I can look for to help better identify exactly what this vac is?

Who can help me identify the value of this?

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!

Didn't notice that

Ahhh! your probably right about the watts Dustin. I didn't even notice the voltage. Mine runs on 110 volts. I think that places like European and a lot of countries use around 230 voltage.

And...that vacuum is pretty nice looking bloomingdale. I have thought that those electroluxes from back then were awesome since around the time that I first took interest in those old vacuums. It's good that you got that box and all of those attachements. That helps the value. Maybe Charles Lester's website will help you.

Sigh - I agree with Pete - kind of hard to follow with separate threads but here goes.

To begin with it is a European Model XII Electrolux. From the plug on end of the cord I would say it was either made in England or South Africa (Most likely England). It will more than likely say Made In.... around the outside of the nameplate on the top of the machine (Its too out of focus for me to read).

The hose is a replacement as the original should have been brown (probably with black or red tracers in it). The nozzles I can see are original but there should be more. In Europe it came with Rug nozzle, floor brush, dusting brush, small nozzle, crevice tool (With removable brush head), 45 degree elbow, two wands, hose and removable cord. Depending on the country it may have also come with a sprayer and / or vaporizer. The wooden storage case is also original to the machine.

The picture below is one I saved from the net sometime back which shows a very good example of a complete model XII from England.
