Just checked out the FQ website and was greeted with a pop up for a new cordless stick vac! Seems like a pretty generic rebranded stick vac but definitely looks like FQ is trying to get their ancient brand out there more. It says that it will be available exclusively on amazon, so that will definitely get them some clicks when searching "cordless stick vacuum". For $199, seems like a good offering, and they are being clear that it isn't a deep cleaning "one vacuum solution" like basically all other stick vacs, it's for quick in between cleanups only. You cannot deny a cordless vacuums' practicality for that purpose. Coupling this machine with the Majestic and FQ's great customer service, I think this will be a good thing! What are everyone's thoughts? Does it seem like the "cheapening" of a brand or just an effort to save an old brand?

Looks like just another revenue stream for FQ

At this point I don’t judge any brand for their cordless stick offerings because so many of the brands seem to have one. It’s just another way to make a buck.

It looks like they've lowered the price down on the Majestic, tells me either they've cheapened even more parts (kinda doubt it) or they're struggling selling the machine (bet that's why). I do like that you now have six colors to choose from, kinda smart honestly. I think it's also smart they're now offering something that would compete in the market. For the price, I think I'd rather buy the Filter Queen than buy a refurbished Dyson V8. Aerus luckily is also offering something similar called the Veridian Endeavor, they're even offering a robot vacuum as well.

easy.... kirby hasn't been doing nothing and has had the same avalir/sentria cosmetic design for 17 years now and also the same platform for over 33 years now. I've lost faith in kirby when they came out with the avalir back in 2014 and then again a few years later with the avalir 2, which really isn't a color change at all. To me if kirby wants to stay in the game they should come out with something soon. If they do so and they address a lot of peoples concerns, then maybe theres still hope for them. I do think they maybe working on something due to the inflated prices of an out dated system that they sell on their website.

As for this stick vac, it looks the same as all the older dysons and some tineco vacs, same shape design and so on. Thats probably why dyson went with the straight inline design with the v10 and newer.

James Dyson approached Filter Queen when shopping for a manufacturer to license his patents. There was a prototype made (we saw it at a VCCC convention when we went to Health-Mor). Imagine if they had not told him "no"? Apparently, the revenue loss from not selling filter cones was a hurdle they just couldn't get over. Not then.

Been trying to sell a like new FM no intetest

I've have a Water/Filter Magic vacuum that was brand new when I got it, had a brand new box full of tools and power head, hoses filters and even cleaning solution stashed away in my attic for about 6 years before I found the main body part.

I have tested it when I had a water heater leak and used it to suck up some standing water that came into my place. It worked well. Before that it was never used.

I have it posted for sale for $60 includes everything accept the water carpet cleaner head attachment. I have the hose for it but sold the head and tubes with a brand new Bissell Green Machine that still had the plastic sheets attached from the factory and never completely assembled.

I posted the system for sale about 6 months ago and I have yet to even get a single reply of interest on it yet. At the price of $60 and it's still very much like new and includes a stack of filters and all accessories, I thought it would sell quickly. This should give a hint as to how well their sales must be going at this point. Since I live in a large city and haven't one interested person at a fraction of the price they're asking, it should tell you volumes as far as how interested people are in this brand.

The same goes for an Electrolux Silverado Deluxe thats in perfect condition priced for even less.

It seems like just about everyone but the experts have been fooled into thinking that a bagless vacuum is the best way to go. I know I could explain it to every person that buys a bagless, but it would never matter, for some reason they avoid a bagged vacuum like it's a disease!

A Filter Queen and a Water Magic are completely different machines and completely different companies. Water Magic is out of business.

I ordered the new FilterQueen hand vac. It arrived on Saturday. It is going back today. What a horrible piece of junk. Does not pick up pet hair at all. Very heavy.

Hey Juju93 I’m curious too they must be working on something for the Av2 to be in production for so long
