I wonder what other "Packard" appliances there are o
Well not sure......BUT
I did grab the Packard Vacuum this weekend, and it is, in fact a later one made by P.A. Geier (Royal)....It does say "Packard DeLuxe" on it, on the nozzle cap, and on the bag. Which is presentable, but faded and the bag graphics have too!! It is NOT a round cap top model, but a later one with a slide clamp bag, much like a Royal would have had. I know I USED to have an earlier Packard with that bag, but god only knows where it's gone to. If you still want it, Im going to pull it into the store tomorrow and give it a go over. It runs SUPER smooth tho. And unless YOU would like to leave it as is with the white cord, I can see if I have anything that will do to change it to a black cord.
I'm honestly unsure of what it woulda come with. Fabric cord, or a rubber. But the 1930's when these were being made, rubber WAS the standard type of cord for vacuums.
Later on today, I'll post some pics of it....
