Yes I'm a troll because I like Dyson and point out the truth about how well their latest machines perform to all the Dyson haters on here with their biased views! :-)

Glad to hear it Tayyab. I haven't had much of a chance to have a look at them yet. Our local Currys has them but they're up on a raised platform, so it's not so easy to take them down and have a good look.

Performance wise, in comparison to other Dyson's, I couldn't fault it the DC40. I did like the size too. Not so piddly as the DC24 but not massively bulky and heavy either. A nice middle ground. Just a shame about the handle.

And no, Marcus, you're a troll because you post absolute rubbish and create pointless threads with the aim of getting a reaction out of people and causing a bit of drama. You also have a habit of hijacking threads into being about what YOU want them to be about and not what they're actually. I also think it's quite telling that you're so dismissive of vacuums from the past on a vacuum cleaner collectors forum.

Right back at you Marcus!! You're singing the praises of the Cinnect left, right & centre but you've never used one.

I've always made it clear that I haven't used a DC41.2 or a Cinnect and base my views on my experience of using pretty much all their machines up to and including the DC41. That's 21 years worth of models against 4 months of models.

I am not a Dyson lover by any means but his machines are well thought out and engineered, the quality is also not the best but at least plastic components are correctly moulded and don't have rough edges. I don't think they are as terrible as everyone makes out, it appears that in most peoples eyes it is the Devil, the antichrist of all vacuum cleaners but in my honest opinion they are not THAT bad.

I will always hate Dyson for taking Hoover to the cleaners!

and I will NEVER convert to bagless, I am a bagged person all the way.

i didn't really like the older dc40 i thought it was better than older models at cleaning but didn't clean 2 the standard i want.but it was ok.but the new dc40 2015 has the same cleaner head from the mk2 but the only difference between the dc40 has less suction and the 41mk2 and has 20 percent more brush bur power 2 then the dc40 2015 that's the only difference.

Nice, I think it should be your daily driver and with the 5 year guarantee you can't go wrong!
You are already getting the tangle free turbine tool so that is awesome.

I think you will like it. Plastic will be a bit flexible but that's so it won't snap.
Here's a list of accessories pictured incase you forgot about some.

Fancy cleaning your ceiling fan?

Fancy vacuuming underneath your fridge?

Fancy getting I between the washing machine and behind the radiators?

Fancy grooming your dog?
😀

How much did you pay?
Dyson done offers on the DC41 Mk2 for £310 with three free tools of your choice

OK cool.
Just seen your Maytag unboxing and demo and was amazed with how powerful it is, so it would be nice if it was compared to the DC40 :)
Hope I am not asking for too much? 😶

I haven't used the DC40 yet but I KNOW the Windtunnel is far better at carpet cleaning, much MUCH better brushroll an 3 channels of suction on the Hoover.
