Hi All,
I was wondering if a 40ft low-voltage central vacuum hose would carry enough suction to drive a turbocat powerhead? I have a 30ft electric hose that came with my Dirt Devil 990 central vac and it's great with the Wessel Werk "Edge" powerhead. However, given the placement of my outlets, it's not always the most convenient hose to use because I have to switch outlets 3 times to do the main level of my house. The main level has a few area rugs and one room of Frieze carpeting but the bulk of it is hardwood floor which show's my dog's hair like you wouldn't believe! My plan is to use the Edge powerhead once a week on these surfaces but for in-between weekly cleanings, I thought the turbocat would suffice. I just don't want to spend the money if it won't drive the Turbocat (which works surprisingly well on the 30ft hose.
Also, if it would work...what is the difference between the generic hose and the genuine Vacuflo hose other than the blue label on the turbogrip handle? It looks like a $60 price difference on most websites.
