Little Look into my Lux Collection

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Tristan, those are some BEAUTIFUL Electroluxes, you should be proud of yourself.

Or maybe not, be it one of the Deadly Sins and all...

Talking of Sins, I see you own NO Hoovers! How could you!?

I do hope you are on the look out for some, it is just abhorrent NOT to have one in your collection.

Thanks

Thanks Jamie and Tyler, I appreciate the love I'm headed out today on a search for more goodies.

Jamie- no it seems like I haven't had much luck finding hoovers. But rest your mind I'm sure I will find one for my collection. Just always had a passion for the old Lux's. Maybe you guys can help me I payed through PayPal for a Membership on 07/15 and haven't heard a word back from anyone and still says I am not a member. I have tried emailing twice. I'm kinda bummed.

Did you do everything stated in the instructions for joining the VCCC ?

I am not a member myself because you have to be over 18, but when I am, I shall be joining.

Good luck with finding Hoovers! Though, a word of warning. NO BAGLESS ONES! Or I may have to kill you :)

Tristan!

Excellent restore on all of them. I'm all HOOVER, but, I appreciate your skills there. I have a cousin named Tristan, not vey common, like John, lolol.
Do try to become a full member.
I think you need a nice gold Anniversary floor polisher, and I'm selling one. It's a "LUX", currently a "Cellar Dweller"... came out of a convent! Long story......
John.

John is the most common first name here in the UK!

An Electrolux in a convent ? That is a Sin to have such a brand in such a place John, how unholy of you and you almost being a Priest and all, you should be ashamed!

Tristan, Welcome Aboard

You will have such a great time getting to know other collectors as well as their appreciation for what you have, have found and helping to look for !
I bill my self as a Lux/Kirby must have guy. But I will say, so glad to see you have a couple of Eurekas.
I have grown to love Lux uprights with electric hoses for the sidekick to do carpet steps and cars. I know you probably think of lux as a power nozzle cannister. Get an upright in your collection, especially if you have no desire for
the other traditional uprights of Hoovers and Kirbys.
I dare say you will soon be playing with and fixing up any and every brand and model that comes your way ! LOL !

Enjoy, so glad your here, with the rest of we collectors. After all we could be collecting cars, radios, camera's, telephones, small appliances, in addition to Vacuums ! Oh Don't forget Automatic Washers and Matching Dryers, Now those are a chore. you just can't pick them up at the Good will and throw them in the car, right?

John and Norm

John, Thanks again for the feedback, I am trying to push hard for membership! Love to know more about your lux up for grabs!

Norm, Thank you for the wisdom I have an Electrolux Discovery II, that I dont have pictured but will show u and have the accesory kit, again 6.99 at the goodwill lol no I am not a paid spokesperson for goodwill. I have owned a 63' Chevrolet Biscayne and a 76' Coupe DeVille, I have a passion for anything vintage but it seems like Lux's are a lil more practital (not to mention cheaper.) My first washer and dryer was a Maytag not sure of the model number but they where gold and from the 70's and loved them dearly. I am not sure why at the age of 27 I have such a passion for things from those era's but I do. I also have a Tristar I just aquired and love it as well.

That is give anything.
Don't drop you iPad everyone.. Costing me 219 bucks to get my screen replaced on tues.. I am really pissed at myself.

Thanks Mike

Thanks Mike, I need to Replace the cord on it but it is one of my favorites in the ones I have simply for the styling

I love your lux collection! Especially your model E, XXX(30), and Silverado! They look great. Nice work! I like your Eureka's as well. Do you know what year the brown Eureka upright is?

Thanks
Daniel :-)

Daniel

Thanks those are a few of my fav's too, I'm not sure the year on the brown upright. I actually had it listed on eBay then decided to keep it! I also have another eureka not listed that is a upright it's red with the cord-a-way attachment and has two speed settings.
