I seem to have always had an obession with older appliances and more so vacuums and have always been intrigued by Electrolux. Where I live we have a Goodwill Outlet store and all Vacuums are 5.00, you have to hunt for em but with a lil luck and love I have started to build my collection for hardly any money. I am excited to share my passion with other people like me and am excited I have found this site!

Beautiful Luxes!

I have an old 1205 that actually looks worse than yours did in the first pic. What did you do to shine it up so well and really make it pop? I see the windex and wd40 in the background of the photos, but is that all you used on it? Just curious! Really nice collection though, I have a big soft spot for older Electrolux Vacuum Cleaners!
 
Sorry about that last post. iPad is going nuts since I dropped it and cracked the screen.

That is suppose to read they are all awesome. I luv luxes also especially vintage luxes.

The only things I use are windex, Mr. Clean magic eraser on the rubber and on the metal I use Mothers Alluminum Polish that you can get at Wal-Mart or any autoparts store and of course a little elbow grease!

Thanks Mike, I have too. Always thought it was odd to want a Vacuum collection but said to hell with it. I have several more in my storage closet I just use for parts and also have a Electrolux Discovery II that is my everyday whip out and Vacuum. I have not paid more than $10 for any of my Vacs!

You have done a dam good job on cleaning them up! Hell they all looked like new!  I have such a soft spot for Electrolux, its just


 


quality plain and simple! This Epic 8000 was one of  my favorites!

Or maybe not, be it one of the Deadly Sins and all...

Talking of Sins, I see you own NO Hoovers! How could you!?

I do hope you are on the look out for some, it is just abhorrent NOT to have one in your collection.

Thanks Jamie and Tyler, I appreciate the love I'm headed out today on a search for more goodies.

Jamie- no it seems like I haven't had much luck finding hoovers. But rest your mind I'm sure I will find one for my collection. Just always had a passion for the old Lux's. Maybe you guys can help me I payed through PayPal for a Membership on 07/15 and haven't heard a word back from anyone and still says I am not a member. I have tried emailing twice. I'm kinda bummed.
 
Did you do everything stated in the instructions for joining the VCCC ?

I am not a member myself because you have to be over 18, but when I am, I shall be joining.

Good luck with finding Hoovers! Though, a word of warning. NO BAGLESS ONES! Or I may have to kill you :)
