How much would it cost to ship this to 98407. By the way it's called the Hoover junior.
THANKS

Now here's a vacuum cleaner that, all things considered, would probably be worth more than your asking price. These little Hoover Juniors are pretty rate, especially here in the U.S. (They seem to have been more widely sold in the U.K.)

You really should put these machines on eBay. There are many collectors who look for vintage vacuums and many of them are not a member of this group. Start your auctions at $5.00 and see what the market will bear.......

I suspect this Junior would do pretty well, if you'd clean it up and make it look pretty.

Isn't this series of Hoover compact uprights called the Lark?Have a dark red cloth bag and inner paper bags that go to such a machine--From the Washington,NC Furniture store-1957.A swap shop owner gave me the package for free-since I like vacuums-now just need the machine and attachments to go with those bags.

Hoover Jr

This is early 70s after the Lark name was dropped.Good smaller Hoover. Was seen in TruValue hdwr ads.Never common, now seldom see.Bumper is missing but as above well worth this price or more.

This appears to be a US version of the UK model Hoover Junior 1346A, which was sold between 1970 and 1975, and in the UK came in teal green and later royal blue. between 1975 and 1978 it was known as the U1012 and this had a top fill bag tube - coloured mustard/beige. The original design started here in 1967 as the 1346, but these models lacked the height control wheel on the side of the casing. These Juniors sold in very large numbers in the UK and were very popular due their good quality and reasonable prices.

Is the bag a bottom fill paper liner, or a top fill tube?

Interesting the bag retainer uses a long spring that was discontinued in the UK in the early 60's on the model 1334A, and replaced with a plastic spring loaded arm that fitted directly to the top of the bag.

Here are 3 of mine that date from the 1970's

This one has a bottom fill tube with a spring. When I cleaned it up years ago I put a C bag from a Convertible in it.

A CRACK

thank a lot for sending the vacuum to me, but when it arrived there was a crack next to the brush roll on the height adjustment side, was this there before? Other wise it got here safely. I still love it a lot though.
Please get back to me.
THANKS

Never mind I see it

I'm sorry I didn't look hard enough, I see it now. The good news is that I super glued it and it works perfect now.
THANKS

I didn't notice the crack before. I should have packed it better. I know a guy that works at ups and he says they throw boxes 20 to 30 feet across the room when they load trucks at night. Sorry I'll pack boxes with machines better in future.
