So I just got home from doing something very uncharacteristic. I just donated three of my vacuums to my church's rummage sale. I had planned on donating my Filter Queen Majestic and had been strongly considering throwing my Douglas ATV wet/dry shop vac into the mix as well. Both had been buried in my barn for years and they could certainly do more good in someone else's hands and whatever money the church realizes from their sale will go toward outreach so win there as well.

But as I was loading them into the car, I decided that one more machine needed to join them--the Oreck XL I had bought earlier this summer for $2. It was a nice enough machine but it just wasn't my jam, as they say. Having just acquired two machines in the past ten days that were much more my thing--a Kirby G3 and a Eureka ESP upright--I decided I needed to lighten my load and you know what? It feels good.

Nice,

I did that several years ago when I heard a neighbor's church was having a sale. 3 upright vacs (can't remember what they were). Folks followed me inside as I brought them in. They were all very clean I mentioned to the hosts to price them at least $20 each.
I just felt "moved" to do it and felt really good afterwards.
