Hiya Lee.

the connies look absolutely superb - after the Hotpoint 1851/03 Liberator de Luxe, I see that you have formed one hell of a relationship with the powder coaters.

As has been said by others, I really cant wait to see your full lineup of restored constellations. Seems like you are well on your way to getting most of them.

Off the top of my head, in the UK we had:

the 822 (restoration job done)

then 867 and 867A's in:
pink (restoration in progress)
grey
jonquil green with traditional Hoover logo (restoration job done)
jonquil green with Hoover logo in transfer form
swedish green
aquamarine
blue
& finally
yellow (restoration in progress)

Were there any other variations?

Roll on the fully restored line-up!

Paul

There were a couple more (in the UK)

822A identicial to the 822 except it floats
868 orange/beige - US import early 1970s

There are two varieties of the yellow version - one with toggle switch & one with rocker switch. As far as no connie was sold with plastic hose hande and tubes in the UK - but dont know about Europe.

There are other varieties in Australia and NZ. I am told that connies were assenmbled under liscence by Fisher & Paykal from parts sourced from USA rather than from UK. For some reason in Aus they retained the step-on switch rather than the toggle switch for sometime into the production of the 862/867

On the attached vid (love these by the way) the "mop head" attachment looks interesting too.

You will see in another thread Markus79 has posted a couple of his 822s as well, but they retained the non floating base for many years as can be seen in the attached video, with a Smoke Pine/Swedish Green Connie
