I went into Best Buy the other week and found the ErgoRapido on the clearance table in the front of the store - display model - for $50. No box, but everything else is there.

The Intensity was a Salvation Army find - $60. It's in very good shape. If it weren't for the brush roll having a couple bad spots, and some rub marks on the bumper and wheels, it could almost pass for brand new (after a good cleaning). It works great, though it's easy to see why they didn't sell well and were discontinued. It's awkward to use, and you have to make sure the handle isn't down in the whole way, or the handle won't unlock to fold it down. Otherwise, it's a neat machine.

Intensity

Cant be faulted for its deep cleaning and grooming capabilities. Excellent grit and dust removal due to the intensive brushroll and the amazingly short path for the dirt to travel into the bag.

Possibly the best machines designed for Airflow.

Are they Bagged or Bagless ?

If Bagged I may seriously consider buying one...

Also, is the brush roll belt driven or a direct drive from the motor ?

I had the original Ergorapido - a brilliant design only let down by the poor brush roll that had original blue thinner-than-thin brushes like a row of make up brushes and squeegees. Electrolux went as far as allowing you to slide out the strips for easy cleaning which was a bonus. What wasn't so hot was the rubber dust bellow at the back that was liable to clog because of the bend on the back and the floor head didn't always lie flat.

I think the model you have is the better one with a proper brush roll - the MK1's didn't have that.

Intensity

I was just looking at a couple of those for sale on Ebay. I've always thought it's a curios design. I wondered how well it cleans. Eventually may have to try & score one of those too!

I loved

my Intensity and was sad when it died. The on/off switch and the brush roll switch developed a fault and the machine kept turning on and off as did the brush roll.

Carpet

Well were in the process of moving into a 3 story house with NO CARPET! I'm kind of bummed but if and when we decide to put carpet In the bedrooms it will be a plush kind that leaves carpet lines! I love me a good carpet line!
