Hi all, do you have some fun plans for the weekend? Or what do you wish you were doing for fun this weekend?

I want to go out on a roam in the countryside and take some photos.

This is from a roam a year or two ago.

Alan, that's a very nice photo! When I used to live in Orillia, that town had lots of recreational trails, and one long one that ran between the 2 big parks in the town. That was my favorite things about that town, and one thing I do miss now living in London.

I am fixing up my daily driver Mountain bike this weekend, needs a good tune up, and I have the bike repair stand and every tool imaginable! I won't pay a bike repair shop if I don't have to, and I would rather do it myself to MY standards, and know the job is done right! I am also going to a BBQ on Monday afternoon.

I actually was originally going to go up to Montana to visit some relatives and check out my grandfather's recently renovated cabin but that got postponed till like next month or so. But had I gone this weekend, I'd normally take route 20 instead of continuing on I-15 once I reach up to Idaho Falls. It's the same road that'd take you to Yellowstone. You'd get to see the Teton range, drive by the pine forest of Island park where we used to own two of our cabins at including my cousin's cabin, and have two different paths to take depending on where I'm heading. If I was going to my grandfather's house, I'd take the West Yellowstone road and go on route 191. I think that's one of my all time favorite drives and there's a place on the way called Howard Springs that in my opinion has the best drinking water. If I was going to my grandfather's cabin, I'd take route 287 that lead me to Ennis. There's lots of open land where you can see some wildlife which is very cool.

Jack, that sounds like a awesome way to spend a weekend afternoon! :) . At least now it's not so hot out so you won't get burned and sweaty. Hope you catch a couple nice big fish for dinner.

Having our usual family cookout. nothing fancy, just hotdogs, hamburgers, bratwurst, baked beans, etc. Main thing is getting the family together.

My good friend and Kirby guru Adam M. Came to visit with us for his Birthday weekend which is also Labor Day weekend this year. I made him a coconut cream cake for his birthday. He is staying through Labor Day, so we are going to grill St. Louis style pork steaks with Maul’s barbecue sauce. I have a whole selection of vegetables to grill that I got from the farmers market. Homemade yeast bread, and homemade vanilla ice cream will complete the meal. Adam brought me a beautiful Hoover dial model 1140. We spent the last 24 hours or so disassembling it and cleaning it so now it looks showroom perfect. I will take an entire set of pictures for a new thread this coming week.
