I just want to take a moment to say a great big THANK YOU to Don O'Connor of O'Connors appliance repair in Youngstown Ohio. I sent them the brushroll from my Hoover 541 Special that was completely gone in my opinion. He returned it to me completely rebristled and looking like a brand new one! Because of this, he has brought new life to an awesome old vacuum! I will post pictures tomorrow of it, and will definitely be sending him more of my older brushrolls for repair. Don, I don't know if you're still a Vacuumland member, but if you are and you read this, thank you for everything!!!

Don O'Connor

Hi my friend:

Don was one of the early member of the V.C.C.C.. Here he is with John Lucia, (co-founder) Norbert Miller, (assistant editor) Mike Pupek, Anne Taber (club secretary) and me at our third meeting in May of 1987.

Don was a big part of the first years of our club.

As many times as I've looked at that photo, I never made the connection that Don was one of the original founding members! I've chatted with him a few times now on the phone and he seems like a great guy! I know I'll definitely be sending him more business. It was funny, the first phone call I had with him, he seemed genuinely surprised that I knew of the VCCC! Next time I talk to him, I'll mention that I know you!
