I bought this “ Flor Genie “, Kmart KC-1 brand canister vacuum., 25 years ago at a garage sale, used , near the Kmart store that sold it new . I forgot it was still in the original box. Shipped to Kmart, Delhi Hills store, Cincinnati area 45238, from Singer corporation .
I haven’t an owners manual, and would love to see more information about Kmart “s home brand - Flor Genie , on this product. I’m currently using bags that fit the inside nodule , and YES, it still sucks pretty good . I have original hose, plus 2 metal extensions. I’ll post those later. Joseph Wagner

This looks like the version of the Singer C17 Golden Glide that Ryobi continued to make after they bought the Singer Mfg vacuum and power tool plant in Anderson South Carolina. Ryobi sold them as the Singer CSS. Singer versions didn't have covered attachment storage that I'm aware of ( or maybe all the ones I have seen the lid was gone ? ).
