About 4 years ago, I met up with a guy near me that had a huge collection of Kirby's. He was trying to liquidate them then as he didn't really have the space to keep them. So he enlisted me to help place some of his Kirby's with collectors which I did. I only really got rid of about 5 Kirby's and some attachments for him. Not long after that we lost touch and I didn't know what ever became of the rest of the Kirby's that weren't sold. Well, a few months ago I get an email from him out of the blue. He said he still had a bunch of Kirby's and wanted my help again to get rid of them. I contacted him and when Kenny Loveland was up visiting we went and visited the Kirby collection at his storage unit. I was surprised to find different models then he had the first time I met up with him. There were some of the same vacuums but also some new one's. He also had an Air Way 88 MKII in not very good shape and a Rainbow Model B. He would like for someone to just come and buy the whole lot. And I don't think I want to go through what I did the first time by trying to sell individual vacuums to various collectors. It just takes too much time and effort in presenting them and then packing and shipping them. Most of his vacuums are not in the best of shape so its hard to put a value on them. He probably doesn't want a lot for them but realize that he probably bought them at estate sales/auctions, etc so he does have some money invested and he's also paying to store them. If anyone would be seriously interested in them, let me know. The vacuums are in the Kansas City area. I don't have pics this time but here is a sample of what he has: Several 513-515 models, some 516-561 models, Sanitronic VII's, Dual 50's, Dual 80's, Classics, Classic Omega's, Traditions, a Heritage or two maybe plus various attachments and attachment boxes. He probably has around 30 or so vacuums. The link below is the original thread I started years ago with some pics of his vacuums. Remember some of the vacs in the pics are gone now but you can get some idea of what he has and the condition. I don't have access to the vacuums, I would have to contact him to let me in to the storage unit. I know its probably a long shot but I know that Will Hemb bought a bunch of Kirby's all at once like this so maybe there's someone out there that would like to take advanatage of this opportunity. Thanks for reading this.
