With some of the genuine Kirby bags (Generation 3) being now marked "made in China" it's not inconceivable. As I've said on this forum countless times before, Kirby needs to get with the times and stop milking a 29 year old platform. As much as I sing their praises and am just as passionate about Kirby as anyone else on here, when I saw the Avalir prototype drawings, and then the finished product my heart sank. The Generation was a great vacuum, but its had its fun in the sun. 20 years is about the cutoff for a new Kirby design IMHO.
