Kirby Model 1C Handle Question

I just found a Kirby model 1C (yay!) but it's missing the entire handle, as well as the belt cover. Does anyone know if the handle fork from later models (505, etc) will fit?

And I know it's a long shot, but nobody has a spare belt cover or handle laying around they'd part with, do they...?

The handle fork from any model from the C to the 515 will fit. However, the early C models had a wooden handle grip. The first one with the rubber handle grip was the Model 4C.

The 3C was in fact the first to come out with the rubber hand grip. You may find one, but you will most certainly be hard pressed in doing so! The handle will look identical to the early C on the left. May good fortune smile upon you, in your holy quest!
