Can anyone explain what this is and does????

Just bought myself a Kirby and it comes with this tool.

Looked it up on google but im perplexed - this is for grooming dogs right?
Massgaging ccarpets to raise the pile?

Surely it cant be for personal use?

TYIA for answers to my queery.

Are you talking about the Massage cup that is part of the suction tools, or are you talking about the massager that is part of the Handi-Butler attachment?

If you are talking about the massage cup, it is used to groom the dog, you can also use it on your own scalp. It also works very well if you use it on the lift the nap of a car interior to help remove ground in dirt.

The one on the Handi-Butler attaches to the power unit and then you use your fingers to massage while this unit turns your fingers into a viberator of sorts. The old sales pitch used to be "Now Mr. Customer, If you hear the Kirby running in the bathroom late at night, you will know what the little lady is doing.' Wink-Wink.

They also have a turbo powered unit that is on the newer systems that you can be used as a back massager.

Well I dunno, all they say is it has the massager attachment and in the pictures I have it looks like the Massgae cup, no sign of the handibutlermijig.

Sounded fun, but doubt id use that massage cup anyway near my scalp.

What is the score with that? surely is just like using a hairbrush with a bit of suction.

Gawd I daresay half the attachments wont get used LOL!

Massage Cup...

I had a Kirby demo once of the Sentria and they showed how the massage cup could be turned inside out sort of and made to aid in unclogging a drain. Who knew a Kirby could do plumbing work too, LOL!

Drain Unclogger

Yep! It does an excellent job on unclogging drains! I've used it for that. I've tried it as a scalp massager too. Not good. My dogs hate it as well. They won't tolerate it. Funny thing though -- my big dog will let me vacuum him off with my Hoover WindTunnel. But both dogs run whenever I break out the Kirby!

The scalp massager can also be used to change light bulbs that are high up as I learned when I sold Kirbys DTD (for all of three days!).

I don't know why they would make a back massager, I've seen it and I think it's silly. Who is going to relax for a massage with a Kirby roaring in the background... except maybe one of us!

well, I don't shed any hair but...

Hello,
If you watch the kirby video owners manual you will see the lady using the massage cup on her scalp for a relaxing massage ( I haven't been able to relax while sombody had a kirby on for any task BUT years ago I had a Bull Terrier, Bella, and she really loved to be massaged and cleaned with that kirby tool and the thing was much appreciated by the family because in certain periods of the year she shed a lot of hair so they went into the wirby before they cold get on our black velvet sofas ...
Enjoy your kirby!

handibutler pics?

hi friends,
I know the massage cup and the vinyl cushion for the turbo sander, but never have I seen some handibutler attachment. Pics of it? Videos anyone? Would be really fun to see!

Well I just got my Kirby and im very impressed, just needs a quick polish up and il be making a thread,

Tried out the massager, not my cup of tea im afraid,

How does one use it to change a light bulb?

Light bulb Change

Hi Robert I have used massager cup to change a light that we have very high is a stair way entrance. To begin with line up the massager up with the bulb you want to change then turn on the Kirby turn it very slowely counter clock wise intil the bulb is out. Reinstall the new buls turning clock wise. I hope this helps Doug
