Kirby Heritagee II questions

I'm using my small nozzle Heritage more and more and I'm using the universal style Hepa bags in it. But I'm having a problem with the fit of the bag onto the fill tube. It seems as if every other bag blows off the tube. Does the F style bag holder work better?
Also I would like to wire my Heritage so that it's a one speed machine. That may seem crazy, but I don't feel the need for the higher amount of suction in above the floor. I use a single speed Sanitronic even more and feel it has just the right amount of tool suction. Is there a way?

1. I think the "F" top adapter might be better suited... any other Kirby experts on here agree with me?

2. To get the normal (low) speed only, disconnect the white wire from the speed switch contraption. I would not recommend it, though, for the sake of resale value! Also, in the UK/Europe and in Australia and New Zealand, there were also single-speed Kirbys up to the Tradition, though they were wired to have just the high speed (white wire) instead of low (yellow wire).

Are you using genuine Kirby bags? If not, that might be your problem.

If the bags are genuine yet they are still coming off, you might not be locking the lugs on all the way. Make sure you press the bag ALL the way on (lugs aligned with the cutouts, then twist so the bag is vertical.

I have never had trouble using the genuine Kirby HEPA cloth "Universal Style" bags in my Heritage II with the twist-on type bag elbow, so this is a strange thing to hear about.

People have managed to attach F-style adapters to Heritage II's--this would definitely solve your problem--but I suspect it may be an awkward fit that could be prone to leaking (or worse, coming apart) if not done absolutely right. You would have a connector mismatch at either the mini emptor or the elbow itself since the Heritage II is designed to use the coiled wire type fill tube and the F-style Kirbys are designed to use the "snap" type crush-proof fill tube.
