For those of you familiar with the Kirby Heritage 1HD through Legend II, those produced with the 13" nozzle, Kirby had actually made a modification to the standard headlight cap casting on these units (which will have the suffix "-13" in their model nomenclatures), so that the cap will better fit flush with the upward slope angle of the top of the 13" nozzle casting.
This modified headlight cap was only ever used on these specially-built machines (again, with the suffix "-13" in the model nomenclature), not on those with the standard 16" nozzle.
If Kirby ever thought to make the 13" nozzle an option for the Classic III 2CB and Tradition 3CB, they would have done the same thing to the headlight cap of these two respective machines (especially with regard to the first batch of Traditions made with the top-mounted speed switch placed inside the light cap) for these special orders.
