I am fairly sure it will. There hasn't been much change in the Shampoo/Renovator attachment until the Avalir system for bare floors. I am thinking even that system will retro fit to older G-series machines, because I have received emails from Kirby offering it as a upgrade to my UG.
Now I could be wrong, often am, if so someone will correct me.

The fact is: That all Kirby Shampoo attachments from the G5 all the way up to the new Avalir Complete floor care system will work perfectly with your G6.

I'll say no. The air horn (exhaust) is configured differently, horizontal for the Classic III, Vertical for the G series. The safety speed selector switch is in a different location.

Kirby Avalir Multi-Surface Shampoo System
The new Kirby Avalir Multi-Surface Shampoo System will <span style="text-decoration: underline;">NOT</span> work with any 1st or 2nd generation Kirby (C/R models through Legend II).
I don't believe it will work with Generation 3, G4, G5, or Gsix either. The safety switch position changed slightly from at least the Gsix (I once had a Gsix that got sold to me with a Generation 3 air-intake guard and it DID NOT fit because the safety switch actuator did not touch the safety).
I know <span style="text-decoration: underline;">FOR SURE</span> it works with Sentria II, and should therefore fit Sentria as well. I have an Ultimate G Diamond at home and the Avalir Multi-Surface Shampoo System, I have never thought to see if they fit together. But according to member sptyks, they will fit! Woohoo!
