When was the newer, specialized Kirby cord introduced? I know the Classic III has the older one but the HII has the newer one. I am getting a couple Traditions in the mail and would like to know which cord to have available to test them. Thanks!

The Heritage I 1HD was the first machine on which the cord would not retrofit with models 516 to Tradition 3CB. The female plug end has this "key" which discourages such a retrofit.
