kirby classic III for sale...

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

I just found the handy waxer I thought if you want it, but its not original to the vacuum...and yes I will start getting it cleaned up and ready to go tonight...and I'll get a pic of the attachments box open lol

Yes Hoover 94,

I would like the Handi-Waxer, and anything that goes with the Classic 111. While I don't have shag carpeting or any wall to wall carpeting, who knows, I may need it someday.

Do you know the history of Kirby? I have a lot of information on James B. Kirby 1885 - 1971.

Here is a look at my Kirby collection. If you look at the attachment wall you will see a Handi-Waxer.

Hi again Hoover 94.

I just took a good look at my new (to me) Kirby Classic 111, and I want to say thanks for not wrapping the cord in a figure 8 pattern, as it's bad for the cord. I think it looks really great. Kirby's tend to tarnish quickly, but a little 'Mothers polish' works wonders. You said that the attachments were never used? Trust me, they will be once they get here, I vacuum everything. Those boxes also look great.

Well they may have been used every now and then, but that's just my guess.
And I love your collection... I'm sorry to hear that your ex took your Kirby classic III

Kirby 1-C

That Kirby 1-C is most fine. How did you come across one with a white bag. The Kirby 2-C is not bad either. Could you post some close ups. You probably already know what I think about your 1923 wireless vacuette. It's over the top!

Right!

That was a machime I sold to a friend right after the Tradition came out. For some strange reason she wanted the Classic 111, but also wanted the disposable bag assembly. That must have been around 1980.

After she died in 1902, she left that Kirby to me and I put it in the collection as it was, a Classic 111 with the Tradition bag.

Those were the kinds of things you do to please the custoner.

Lets try this again.

Right!

I knew a lady who bought two kirbys from me. First a Classic 111, then a Tradition. For some strange reason she didn't like the disposable bag system and had me put the Classic 111 bag on the Tradition, and gave me back the old Classic 111. When she died in 1993, I got her strange Tradition and put it in the collection.

These are the strange things you do to please a customer.

Call it my only FrankenKirby.

That machine is good for a laugh if nothing else, and as I said is one of the many strange things we did to make the sale!

Hi Hoover94.

Five days and counting.

The money order for the Classic 111 will be sent on Monday. Then as soon as you get back from the wedding, you can ship it to me. I'll send you an email with the tracking # of the money order.

And thanks again,

Alex Taber.

Hi Hoover94.

Glad you told me, I got an odd email from you last night about some mirical drug. I didn't think it was from you as it was not vacuum cleaner related. I didn't open it, nor did I think it was from you. My first thought was spam!

Okay, let me test your new email and load it into my contacts.

Heading Kirby Classic 111.

Alex.

Hi Hoover94

Thanks for confirming the email. I'm thinking of leaving Yahoo as well. I knew something wasn't right last night and will delete any email from your Yahoo site as spam.

On a lighter note, I'm really excited about the Kirby Classic 111. it will be good to retire my 517. See my posts on the Wireless Vac-u-ette thread.

Hi Hoover 94.

I sent you a personal email letting you know that all systems go for my Kirby Classic 111. The payment goes out first thing Monday morning. Send me an email letting me know when you plan to ship it. Lately I've been seeing a lot of Classic 111's and soon I'll post another one.

Thanks again.

Alex Taber.

Hi Hoover 94.

I really like Staples, they packed my computer in Indiana and shipped it here to Pa., and it got here without a scratch. If you take the Kirby, packed as I discribed, to a Staples, they'll have the box to fit it, and pack it for you. Most likely put Bubble wrap around the Kirby box, (that little bit of tape's not a problem) and put it in an outer box. Our branch office used to get 4 Kirby's packed in a box, no bubble wrap, in fact, I doubt it even existed in 1977. I'm sending the $50.00 you requested for shipping, if it comes to more, tell me and I'll send you that too. UPS will also pack it for you.

Thanks again.

Alex Taber.

I aquired a red K, A, R & R Classic III (came with Rug Renovator & attachments in the box but no Handi Butler) when I moved into a house that the previous tenant/homeowner left behind.

Hi floor-a-Matic

Mine will be a K A. I'm not getting the R.R. or the H.B. I have the R.R. and the H. B. in storage.

Hopefully it will be here very soon.

This is what I started training my guys and gals with.

A;ex Taber.
