I just bought a kirby classic and it came with a box of attachments 2 I dont know what they are or what they are for can some one help ?

The first one is a handle to make it a portable hand cleaner. The second one is a coupler that the hose went on to. Neither one will work on your Classic. They were made for much older models.

The red tool is actually called 'The Lifter Grip,' as explained above, it was a way to convert the upright to a hand portable, or tank/canister. That tool, and the 'Hose Coupler,' which you also posted date back to circa 1928, with the Scott/Fetzer Home Sanitation System. There was also a straight suction nozzle, and a small bag, but these were optional tools and dropped from the line in the late 1940's. There should also be a small round metal tool like the hose coupler, but designed to go over the exhaust to hook the hose up as a blower.

I'd presume the straight suction nozzle was gone after Kirby changed the 505 and gave its rug nozzle the "Magic Finger" belt lifter in 1946. With the belt off the shaft and gripped by the belt lifter hook, this nozzle could double as a straight-suction type.

I think you're right, the only mention I have of it and the small bag was in the instruction book of the Kirby 1-C. With the belt lifter, there would be no need to have a separate nozzle. I do think it a shame that they did away with the small bag, however, as it was not outfitted with a Sani-Em-Tor, but fit right on the exhaust, I doubt if anybody used it.
