Kirby 505 question

Unfortunately, it would cost a king's ransom to convert it back to how it looked originally, the correct 505 bags are as rare as hen's teeth.
A nice looking machine no doubt but bojacked Kirby's (even a 505) are a dime a dozen. What's more, if the original builder's plate was removed (or replaced with a Kirby rebuild plate) the originality is gone.

I disagree. I have a rebuilt 505. It doesn't make it less desirable. I have it and a 3rd 505 1 or 2 small items being restored back to factory original.
It's the parts not being correct a rebuild plate with fully restored to OEM is just as desirable.
Parts can be found. You have to know what you are looking for. I know exactly what to look for.
Just wishing texaskirbyguy would give up his model C emtor and I'd trade original 505 emtor.

So let me ask you then, Les. Do you know where I could find a black duvetyne bag at a FAIR price? I have so many bojacked early 500 series machines and a 1C that's missing a bag. I don't have ANY machines with the original black bag. Sadly, many were lost in the rebuild process.

Hmm

Hi
Email me at [email protected].
I can explain but not on public message board.
My model c is no rebuild. I got a super deal on it. My phones getting replaced and pic is on Google Drive.
I'm looking for a 508 bag I can't find anywhere.
