Hey guys,
Couldnt let this little girl just sit on the side of the road waiting for trash day. a little blue and gray magic blue, after tearing into her found that someone had torn out the turbine for the air driven power nozzle after ordering a new one u guessed it nothing happens any ideas suggestions love this lightweight little guy

Check the brushroll and any bearings in the unit. From my experience it doesn't take much to screw one the those things up and any additional drag is a bad thing. Also make sure you have no air leaking past the turbine anywhere, so tighten screws, check for things not fitting properly, and make sure the suction bleeder valve is closed.

It should be noted this is just general procedure and some things may not apply to you.

Dynaflow:

Are you impressed by how much suction the Magic Blue has? I was the first time I used one. :-)

Sears used to sell one that had a motorized power nozzle. It was the same power nozzle that the older Mieles used. However I think the newer ones only come with the turbo nozzle.

You are so right, the Magic did use to have an electric power nozzle. Wish I had gotten one before they stopped making them. They really are an amazing little machine.

I have the Magic Blue with electric power nozzle. The suction of this little blue and gray orb is just unbelievable!! The only downside is the tiny dust bags, which are rather expensive.

Oh, and the attachments are really crummy, so I use Electrolux combination dusting and floor tools with it.

I am dying to get one with a power nozzle..

I have the one with the air-power nozzle and i HATE HATE it, i am trying to look for an excuse to get rid of it...

Charles, that is a beautiful Magic, did you buy it new? I wonder just when they did stop making the electric nozzle, seems like they had both available for a time.

Attachments blecchh!

Reading through this topic sparked me to dig out the Magic Blue that I have placed with my parents' items that will part of the estate sale this late spring. Perhaps I should give the machine a second chance...
Great suction, this machine has, but oh my...what about those attachments? What were the designers thinking when they came up with a dusting brush that needs to be placed on the end of the wand? I like to use the dusting brush for just that, but I find that the combination of placing the tool on the end of the wand, and the fact that the bristles are so short just does not work very well for me.
Of course, there are the previously mentioned tiny bags. Not too useful in a house with a shedding dog.
It took me one minute to decide to put the machine back in the "for sale" pile.

Kool kenmore Charlie..

I went to sears to get a new vac for my mom about 3 or 4 years ago at a mall/sears/jcp/dillards. I of course tried out all of the demos they had. And i narrowed it down to the magic blue or the Bare floor freindly. Of course if you all seen my collection pics i chose the bare floor friendly which is a good vacuum. The blue kenmore i looked at had a slider tab on the handel grip to adjust the suction power it worked liked the hoover demension 1000. I remeber they had a model witht he air powerd turbo brush and they had the TOL power nozzle like charlies. It was a good vacuum, but i choose the bare floow freindly which is my moms weapon of mass cleaning..lol

Dave there's one for sale here, or was, at the downtown flea market.. unfortunately the guy who's selling it is the same one I refuse to buy anything from.
