Yes, the Imperial is VERY rare. I think one or two have come and gone on eBay but I don't remember them going for astronomical sums.
I don't know if they had attachments or not but I don't think so -- looking at the bottom of the machine, there's really no place for a hose coupler to attach. The person who would know for sure is John Lucia, expert in all things Kenmore. "Earth to John, Earth to John, come in John......."
I have had a couple of them come and go over the years.
Those who may be in the market for one, check the link below... no idea what the guy is asking for it, but since the not-original Apex is going for $650 and he has the notice "email for price" I have a feeling it's probably not going to be a bargain...!
