Kenmore canister

Can anybody tell me what year my Kenmore is from? Found it an estate sale and massagemiracle just sent me a new hose for it. It is super easy to use and the Power mate is awesome! I know it has to be newer than 1991 or 93, because I have the Sears catalogs for those years.

Also found a Whistertone 200 in the trash a couple of blocks from my house. It’s in sorry condition and it’s missing both wheels and owner used putty and duct tape to seal up the crack. But it runs and has good suction.

I think it may be a late 1980s model, like 1988 or 89, maybe 90. I agree it's not in the 1991-93 catalogs and I think it's an earlier model than early - mid 90s.

I believe that came out in 1988 because my parents bought that very same vacuum when we moved in to our new house. They were tired of dealing with an Electrolux Olympia they had since I was born in 1980. Apparently it broke ALL of the time and I remember my parents always borrowing our neighbors' Kenmore Powermate canisters before finally giving up the lux and buying one too. Even though it wasn't always the primary machine they had been using it in their basement up until about 2005! Not a bad run for a plastic machine...still had the original hose too!

Kenny open the bag door and look very close on the under side and you might find a time dial with two numbers, these will be the year like 88 89 etc.
Or it might be inside the attachment door
