Well, you certainly made my afternoon! There were a lot of suprises and old memories in there. For instance I never knew they made cloth bag uprights like that, and I never knew they had a Regina style carpet extractor. I do remember the bagless vacuums, and I liked them at the time. All of the canisters were blue or green when I first saw them. The white and grey models are appartently before my time. Of course I remember the hard case uprights. That what naturally comes to mind where someone mentions a Kenmore upright. I think you can still get them as Panisonics. I saw a light blue one, brand new on ebay just yesterday. I guess they must have been doing something right, as their canisters and upright designs were sold longer than most designs of the time period.

Ill slap you lol your only a few years younger than me. But you are right they were before you, The white were 85-87ish then the gray came in, then colors for the 90's. You can still get the canisters and uprights as Kenmores. the basic designs haven't chaged just the style, although I hate to say it I do detect TTI in thier latest uprights.

Wow! these pictures bring back memories of my youth. They don't make them like that anymore. I distinctly remember the Carpet Shampooer, my Grandfather had one just like it. Also the red, white and blue bypass uprights look like they're Riccars or at least similar. Kenmore has been known to contract other companies to make the Kenmore line. I wonder if they are Riccars?

I think the uprights are from panisonic. Interestingly, when you look through a parts store like totalvac.com you notice that some Riccar, Simplicity, and Panisonic parts interchange.

Wow..

If anyone has vacuum "B" or something similar on this page, email me. You will for sure get something worth while in trade.

i had letter b in that pic but the machine was locked up and had a broken fan and motor casing so i had to chuck it. I looked for parts from service centers in my area and no one had none and the parts that were on the machine were not that great.

Found one of them about 10 years ago & I don't remember but I didn;t like it too much or it was beyond repair so I threw it out & I kept the tools & wands & used them on my olympia as a spare vac.

They say sears in a round logo & I was certain they must have been pre 90's/

Then when the green beast came I let it borrow them...

I'm giving them back to the olympia as the beast needs bags that are not readily available...

LOL

Yea Those vacs

Were not the best. The handle cracked in half while I was vacuuming. It broke right at the top of the dirt tube so I got blasted in the face with air and dust,I was so stunned it took me a few seconds to figure out what happened lol I just couldnt belive it broke like that.It must have had a hairline crack somwhere for a while.

you got it Eric

DJ was vacuuming with it,getting a head start on his punishment. The episode "Blaming of the Shrew"
season 7 when DJ sneaks to Chicago on a bus with his girlfriend.

Thns4themmrs

I had the Kenmore canisters (all of them on pics) & scrubbers (except C) + the Cleanmore steam/shop vac. My brother had the green TOL Kenmore canister; & my sister had the Powercenter (A) a Regina Steemer (w/Powerbrush) & the Drytech. Its fun having siblings who collect vacs like I do but I have 2 fight 4 the ones I want b/c I'm the youngest & my siblings get 2 have the "unique" vacs & I cant! And I even have the catalog (still have it today)

VTG 1992 Sears catalog

Are there any E-luxes on that Sears catalog? My catalog's missing pages (my parents ordered something since the order form is missing too) Were the Power Centers (A) the Sears version of the Eureka Powerline & the Power Centers (B) Sears' version of the Oreck?

btw thnks4themmrs=Thanx for the Memories! Reminds me of when my sister moved out on her own at that time & when I visit my brother.

I had to get this in somewhere. This is what I inherited from my grandmother. I need to finish cleaning it, and I also should find a replacement headlight lens. I've been using it for most everything for the past couple weeks. It's just a good machine.

I Had that one too

In the Panasonic version and the kenmore version. Tey are great vacs,This version pn was kida light so its wasn't a good deep cleaner, but still a great performer.

The PN on that one looks generally simmilar to most PNs they made, but it has features that are different that almost all of them that I see. I think its a version of the PN in "B", just with a headlight, and I don't think its directly related to the PN on model "A". Its different then most PNs because it has the belt running down the middle, right in the dirt path.
