I have the same basic fridge in white. My controls don't look quite as fancy as yours but it is a few years older. Does yours have the water dispenser just inside the left hand door? It's not as convenient as having it set into the front of the door, and of course there's no ice dispenser in the door, but the water is always nice and cold.

that's a good frigidator. Made by Whirlpool now. Not having the ice maker up in the door makes it roomier too.

I have the same one in black & I love it!! So much more room then the side-by-side one I used to have.
The water dispenser is inside the fridge on the right side.
I'm not sure I'm going to put a hole in the floor for the water source. I also don't have the ice maker hooked up, although, THAT would be nice. It also has an "air purifier" inside.
If you leave the door open too long, OR, if the temp goes up.... bells start ringing. It'll take some getting used to, I'm sure. It's SUPER quiet.

Go for it...
I've run water lines for several refrigerators. It's a pretty easy half-hour DIY job and the kits are pretty cheap, although I'd recommend springing a little extra for a reinforced water line, just to be on the safe side. But once you hook it up, you'll wonder why you waited.

Hook up the water line, you'll love it.
My fridge is only a cabinet away from the sink, so I tapped into the supply line at the sink and ran it through the back of the cabinet to the fridge.

When we bought a house in '92, the refrigerator there had an ice maker. It was the first ice maker we had. Wouldn't be without one again, just too convenient to go to the freezer and always have ice available.

My parents bought a second fridge a few years ago and put it in the laundry room. They never hooked it up to water even though it was right next to the utility sink because they figured it would be redundant with the one in the kitchen already hooked up. Being the newest of their refrigerators, they took it with them when they moved to an apartment in a retirement community a few months ago and discovered the ice maker doesn't work. They can't prove the ice maker was defective when the fridge was new but that's a moot point since since it's out of warranty. The maintenance people at the retirement community won't touch it since the fridge isn't one of theirs. Mom and Dad brought their own fridge and stove to avoid paying the inflated prices the retirement community wanted to charge but now they're looking at having to spend a couple hundred dollars to get the ice maker fixed. Bottom line here--hook up the water line while the fridge is still covered under warranty.

As for me, I love a bottom freezer. The first I recall was a General Electric, about 1960, baby blue with shelves that were able to swing out. The freezer was massive, and rolled out, and if I recall correctly there was a foot lever that opened the main door. But the best thing was that everything in the main refrigerator was at your fingertips.
In later years I got an Amana with a bottom freezer, but it didn't have the drawer, opened a standard fridge/freezer.

I remember my grandmother had a brown Whirlpool or Maytag that had the bottom freezer and the foot pedal to open the door. I always thought the foot pedal was so cool...and convenient.

I have a bottom freezer Maytag that was made in 2005, mine is in white. Now if it were brown, it was more than likely an Amana, as they were one of the first bottom frig/freezers, and to be brown that would have been mid 60s.
