Very nice! Personally, I would try putting the bag off the first 541 on the 105 and make a totally matching vacuum.

Was the model 105

the first Hoover to come out in red. I didn't even know there were colors used that far back. Can you educate me on this?

No, when the 105 was new it looked like any other Hoover, when it was rebuilt someone painted it red. I think it was done by a local vacuum shop. The serial number on the plate is a four digit number but the real serial number is a seven digit number dating to 1922.
