Wonderful tribute, Rick!!!

I KNEW his anniversaary was soon. Oddly, he's been on my mind a LOT lately.
At my first convention, "Happy Birthday, HOOVER", in '08, Terry walked up to me, gave me a hug and said, "John? Welcome! I'm Terry". That set the pace for everything else.
I'll post some coffeemakers later tonight.
He's my little tribute: his Coffee can, given to me by Charlie.

That is absolutely true

I try to treat new members like he did. I hope I succeed. I also try never to get myself into trouble w/ my mouth.
At the Portland convention, we had a beautiful tribute to Terry.
Morgan lit a candle in his honor that stayed lit until the very last minute of the convention. We observed a moment of silence, some prayed.... We had great photos and some people paid tributes to him. At another convention, 2 yrs ago, John Lucia and many more were there. Michael Turner was in charge as Morgan was in Russia. He brought up Terry again. Charlie, Fred, Fred, Robert, Tania, Greg, etc were there. Michael told newbies about Terry. A lot of newer members never met him. This way, they got to hear about the great man that was Terry Lattz. I always bring out my vacuum that was a part of his collection. Joe Kassock has another. He will bring it to my home this coming weekend.

I did not know Terry personally however we did have some delightful conversations over the phone. He was a gentle spirit and always welcomed everyone into his heart. he was a good man who would always lend an ear and advise to those who needed it. Last but not least this thread would not be complete with out a pic of our Terry.

I never spoke to nor met Terry, but from the tributes paid when he died and from then on, I feel sure he was a wonderful person who was definitely taken far too soon.

As hard as it sometimes is, I always try to realise that those who have passed on would not have done so unless there was something or someone that needed them more on the "other side".

I`ve read about this wonderful man

Terry ,

I am so impressed with the members of this club ....that after three years they still pay tribute to such a wonderful and generous man who loved his organization so much that he still inspires its members today.....HE set the true tone of THE MINI MEETS ...AND THE PROCESSES OF HAVING THEM.....The COOKING and CLEANING and PREPARATION that HE put into them and HIS DEAR FRIENDS at TARANTULA ARMS SET THE TREND on HOW OUR CURRENT MEMBERS CELEBRATE TODAY......as a member of this site for years I always enjoyed viewing the photos of Terry cooking and preparing in that gorgeous kitchen....and setting that amazing dining room tables while the others set up the vacs......I would have loved to have sat at that table.....sadly I am located to far out from other members to enjoy such evenings ....but if I could ....I would and honor this great man by doing so.....

Dan
