Launched around 1986. Updated version of the original burgundy mid-range Turbopower cleaner. Boasted a 2-speed motor and bag-full lamp, both of which had not been present on it's predecessor. It had no other user features, but the physical build of the cleaner was very different in places – for instance a new chassis was used which required a lot less assembly for the front wheels. This may have been present before the original 5 cleaners went out of production, but certainly the motor used in the first U2332 cleaners was of the older style. Again, less assembly was required on the later design.

Also, Hoover started fitting a washer behind the rear wheels to prevent premature chassis wear, but so many U2332 cleaners didn’t have it for some reason. This model was also the flagship Turbopower, even though there was an autoflex cleaner above it. I expect this was the case as the extra cost of building the autoflex cleaner was possibly never fully recouped in the selling price if that makes sense. Hoover would have had to have the autoflex so as to compete with the Moulinex and Hitachi cleaners, but note that Hoover never pushed their autoflex model and Electrolux simply didn’t bother having one. Never underestimate assembly costs!
