VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Thank's Sebo,

I also have Googled for photos of certain vacuums, and they come up with links to threads here.
I will see if the thread on heavy clunky vacuums is archived, but it seems it has been removed. Perhaps by webmaster, or original author.

Pete,

I would be honored to host a meet, but the one I "live with" is not as welcoming as yours is.
Make no mistake, he is a prince, and a good guy though.
We'd all eat good for sure, and the menu would have input from members, so I don't cook anything anyone doesn't find palatable.
I do all my cooking with Love. From Burgundy beef stew, to my sugo and meatballs and fresh pasta, baked breaded chicken picata, baked red skin potato salad with bacon, etc.
I'd even bring out my mid century Bavarian china, woven napkins, and heavy flatware.
We have not even entertained relatives in years. They all have bigger homes, and there are too many.

I accidentally found out the other day that one of my Facebook friends has a friend who has attacked me on the companion site, a Yahoo site, and in private emails. The FB friend is a decent guy, and it amazes me he's my attacker's "friend". The FB friend of mine is an on and off participant in this and the companion sites. Vacerator, you will find that most of the people on both sites are really nice people. It's amazing too, what online sites will put up with because the antagonists are also quite knowledgeable about the subject matter, and in that respect, they have value. Other than that, they have nothing in the line of couth, respect, empathy, or common decency.

Alan,

thank you for the understanding, and I do agree. Perhaps this is why I am not on facebook.
Attacking someone by e-mail is very low.
Totally lacking of integrity!
Yet I bet they'd be very critical of certain people who used their private e-mail servers as well.
Oops, did I just say that?

Delaney,

I was complaining about my 5 year young Maytag Bravos, and describing the problems I've had with it over the last tow years.
Then this young guy tells me if I don't like it, to pedal it off on craigslist, and buy a new one I will like better, since it didn't sound to him like there was really anything wrong with my washer.
He is 24, our sons age. I told him I don't sell my troubles to others, and money doesn't grow on trees, and when it finally quits working, we will replace it.
Same thing we told the son, when we asked him to only use the hand wash cycle so it will fill and spin well enough.
It was overhauled last year under the now expired extended warranty.
So he got all huffy with me, then another member jumped into the argument, and said I was a know it all in the short time I have been here.
Do I told him I do not think I am a know it all, and have thanked several members for their information.
When my integrity is attacked, I defend it. I should have just ignored them both.

I can be...

Blunt and completely opinionated, But if Im ever rude, someone please call me on it, I don't ever mean to be.

Alan, well said as usual! But folks like that don't make a whole lot of matter anyway. You should just beat'em out like yesterday's dog crap out of your shoe...feels so good. Besides, you can have a whole lot of fun whilst your doing it -- atheists are the absolute funniest to stick it to , bar none! Remember Ash that royal pain in the A$$? Well, he hasn't been bothering Bryan no more. Speaking about Bryan, did you see that 56' Bel Air I posted? We've been talking about China-Mart free ol' cars for quite sometime, and when I get back to Meridian we're going to cruise to that flea market he is always jabberin' on about. I got it on the fast track of restoration! It should be ready for Cruising the Coast in Biloxi this coming October.
