Sorry Tayyab

I forgot to add , inbox me and I will send you a list of what you will need and the size transformer you will need. I may even have a contact their to help you with this. I would suggest you buy a dyson rebuilt one from their website. Its not going to be cheap but it is fun having a vacuum no one else has.

Brushroll

Is it not possible (and cheaper!!) to buy/import a DC17 brushroll and retro-fit it into a suitable U.K. model of Dyson Vacuum cleaner?? Or has Mr Dyson forseen this possibility and made all parts non-interchangeable??? I would have thought that with all the various models available (and a little ingenuity) it may be possible to build a 'custom' Dyson with all the features that you want, and less of those you don't.

Food for thought??

All best

Dave T

P.S. I do agree, however, that a Sebo or Kirby may clean deep pile more efficiently. ;-)

P.P.S. 110V tool transformers are quite cheap secondhand. buy one with a suitable wattage 'tool rating'. (Unless you intend to run your vacuum 24/7, that is... ;-) )

Thank you all so much especially Steve, Shaun and Gareth.
Well I think Dyson is not fragile, if you think they are then you must have had more experience with British Dysons which are very old.

How often do you see a DC14 with cracked parts? or a Malaysian DC07 Origin for example with broken bits? It's not as common as a DC01 soleplate or a DC04 crevice tool holder.

The DC17 might be perfect for me, or a DC28 because the Dyson design is the best for our house and we like Dyson. We want a more modern looking vac too, Kirby is kinda not my type. I't just because it's bagged and it doesn't look very stylish. Unless I may consider one if it's better than a Hoover TP1?1

why are people trying to convince him not to get it

I think if you want something, get it, dont be discouraged by what people are saying Ive found my dc17 does not harm my carpet, this is probably due to the fact that mine is high quality, if you have a really expensive delicate carpet they yes expect some damage to occur, from the description of your carpet you shouldn't really have any issues, the dc17s are really quiet until you recline it aha, and the reverse handle configuration (for me anyway) took some getting used to. I genuinely think you would love a dc28 if you bought one, they are really good, I will get some pictures of mine as well as the dc17+brush roll shots for you, as for the transformer, well those aren't expensive or difficult to get hold of at all, Im sure there are loads of people as well as me who will help you with that.

DC07 broken bits,

Handle release, tubing, bin, I cannot even use my DC07 over such (why would I even use this thing on carpets?). I will vote, however,to the older Dyson cleaners being more quality over newer models, they seem far simpler and better than this cheap modern status symbol the brand has become.

Agreed

Cheers Michael! :) I would love to see pictures, Thank you so much for taking the time to actually show me the pictures of the DC17 brushroll
I would like to find a nice DC17 that works 100% because unfortunately they are not available in the UK :(
I would love a DC28 too, but am worried about the technical Air muscle technology failing, and once it breaks, it breaks

technical Air muscle technology failing

unless you go over a really thick carpet or jam it purposely I doubt it will break, my one works just fine I got it manufacturer refurbished as they test them rigorously so I know I wouldn't get a dodgy one. and all the airmuscle is, is basically brush roll adjustment, click the link and watch from 5 mins onwards and that is basically the airmuscle, oh god that video is sooo cringey aha,

Cheers , but the video don't work :/ Thanks though : )
I agree, I guess Dyson will last if they are treated well

No need to be sorry :) Thank you for making such an interesting, detailed video I actually favourited it too XD

I regularly check my Local Gumtree and eBay atleast 2X a day, if not more and I do not find what I want all the time, only rarely, like once a month
