My grandma has the newer Rainbow e2 Blue vacuum and I love it! I brought it to my house to borrow it and take it for a few spins! My favorite part is the air purifier! Here are some pics!

The new powerhead is amazing. I'm half tempted to buy one for my older E series. It maneuvers well and grooms very well. It also has those side brushes for the baseboards, which you won't be seeing anywhere else for quite a while as I looked up the patent and it's only a few years old. I'll give Rainbow credit, they've done some awesome R&D work in these newest models.

Except for the fact that they cannot seem to R&D a way to install a simple cord rewinder. I love Rainbow's but I will not buy one until they put out a machine with that simple feature that ought to be standard on all vacuums nowadays. For me to pay high end prices there are 3 requirements that are must haves for me-a headlight, variable speed motor, and cord winder. I cannot see a machine as high end top of the line if it lacks these features at least on it's highest level model. On a positive note, Filter Queen is supposed to be coming out with one soon that has a rewinder.

I have an earlier version Gold E2 2 speed, as well as an earlier regular E Series. I LOVE both, but the 2 speed is my favorite. I've upgraded it with newer style fans, a newer rotor and upper bearing bridge and bearing kit to make it quieter, as well as the silencing foam. Its just as quiet now as the newer ones and as powerful, it cleans so well, few others clean as deeply as a Rainbow does, thats how I feel, also experience has shown to me that if used correctly the water will trap all the dirt and dust, but many people don't change the water enough to keep it filtering.
