Huh.
The power nozzle says "Made in Germany", but the label on the underside of the canister says "Made in China".

This seller is not always accurate

He may have been stating the power nozzle was Made in Germany.  The vacuum itself clearly states "Made in China" on the ID plate.

Note:  Also watch this seller,  though I have made some good buys.  He has a tendency to overstate the condition, is sometime a slow shipper with tons of emails with excuses.  AND he has been known to edge his own price up by bidding against you.  You can usually tell this when the item sells and then is immediately relisted.

If you go to the website of the manufacturer of the Bank vacuum cleaners, and click on this model, it takes you to the Costco website, where you can buy this vacuum for $550.

The description makes several mentions of the German-made Wessel-Werk power nozzle, but doesn't seem to mention where the vacuum itself is made.

It's a Simplicity Verve vacuum, in black, with a Wessel-Werks 'petite' power nozzle (like the 217 Miele nozzle - "Barbie's Dream-House Power Nozzle"). That machine would do WELL to be upgraded to the full size Simplicity power nozzle.

I had the very some thought during some of my Ebay biddings..I suspected the seller drove up the price...when I stepped aside, the item "sold". Then he contacted me a day later that the buy fell through and was offering me the item. I passed and supposedly it sold to the next lower bidder..(yeah, themselves).

This very vacuum has sold at least three times, and then been relisted the next day. I bid knit once, it was at $61, then shot up. Then it was relisted again. If the high bid fell through, just offer it to the last bidder, unless the winner was yourself. Just watch this one, it will be back, same seller.
