I need some Kirby help here

Hey guys, I need some assistance here. I don't normally buy old Kirby vacuums, but today I have been offered a Kirby 517 that runs and is in pretty good shape according to the seller. He won't price it to me but rather wants me to make an offer on it. I have no idea what folks are paying for vintage Kirby 517's and as luck would have it, my phone isn't picking up eBay this afternoon and that site is blocked on our work Intranet. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be a decent price for me to offer him for it? Thanks!

Well you don't say if it has all of the attachments and what kind of condition it may be in. Especially the bag !
If the bag is in good condition and hose and box of attachments are there. It
could be worth about $100.00. But then, you could always make him an offer of
$25.00 to start with. I would give him $25.00 working or not, especially if
it had a decent ( meaning it's not missing, or been replaced by another one)bag.
