I live in central New Jersey and my name is Ben. I'm trying to sell of some of my vacuums to help raise the money needed to get another station wagon since my accident back in April. I have about 600+ vacuums here of all ages, types, brands and conditions. I'm open to having other vacuum collectors come and take a look at what I have, it's basically all for sale minus a few pieces of my personal collection. I have some of what your looking for.....

I have various Hoover's & a ton of orecks in various conditions, including one vintage oreck from the 80's with a silver vinyl bag that's like new. Model 888 it's the first of that body style. I also have a red buster bee that's a rare early model that's as well like new. If your able to text please do it will make it easier for me to get back to you quickly. I'm trying to help get back on my feet from a car accident and also get us back on the road. I'm in central New Jersey and always willing to have vacuum collectors come by and see what I have.

I do have PayPal and other ways to accept payment. I was curious where about in New Jersey you're located? I prefer cash and pick up if & where possible. If going to ship a vacuum I would prefer to speak directly to you and figure everything out that way just because most ways to accept digital payment means there's fees involved. So I'll get back to you shortly with pics and info on the oreck. I have 2 fantom wildcats but they're far from perfect, I might be able to build 1 out of the 2 if interested or would sell in the current condition if wanted for parts or whatever and I have a fantom canister but it's labeled Kenmore (fantom lightning).

Well...

I don't feel comfortable giving out my location. I am in Central New Jersey, but due to my age, I can't drive and due to my parent's occupations, they are often working and unable to drive me. Also, my father doesn't very much like this "hobby" so even if he could, he wouldn't drive me. May I ask what is wrong with the best condition Fantom Wildcat? Also, before I commit to anything, what would you be looking for in price for the Oreck or the Fantom Wildcat?

Well...

The best condition wildcat has a broken housing and the other has motor problems and doesn't run. Both as is would be like $40 but shipping is gonna cost a fortune bc of the size, if he builds 1 of the 2 and makes it nice it would be $80 and as like new as possible. The oreck is $80 and is like new and perfect. I'm working on some pictures now and will be listing it by itself in it's own ad with full description shortly.

You did a great job restoring that Oreck! It's a beautiful machine but I cannot justify spending $80 + shipping on an Oreck. How much is the Fantom with the broken housing? Also, do you have any Hoover Elites that are unrestored and in rough shape?

Here's the deal....

I have over 600 machines and with how many different things your looking for your best bet is to come take a look here yourself, also I normally recondition the vacuums and then sell them. The oreck isn't even fully restored yet I had been using it up until recently and still need to clean it up. It is a vintage model that's in very nice condition and well taken care of, $80 is a low selling point for this particular machine if I had the means right now for eBay it would most likely bring more. If I as well had a vehicle I would offer to bring whatever to you but at this time unfortunately I'm without a car and trying to raise the money to get one. I sell modern reconditioned vacuums to local customers and I normally get $80-160 for an oreck. I'm just curious what kind of price range your working with for each machine rather than you asking for a machine and me telling you prices for each one and then it not working with shipping and all. Just to make it easier for both of us. I live in Hamilton right outside of Trenton and keep in mind that anyway payment is made online there's going to be fees on my end, meaning that whatever price we agree I'll get less than that after the fees are taken out. I will sometimes make exceptions for PayPal for out of state buyer's who I have to ship to but in state and even local surrounding states if and when able pick up is preferred and that way you see what your getting when you pay and I don't loose out from fees. You can try it before you buy it, also if picking up you can see what else I have you might like. I would as well like to sell both wildcats together as is or fix them up and sell restored. As is $40 for both or fixed up the 1 is $80.

My price range is 0-45 dollars. I don't want to spend too much money. I am assuming that shipping is high for the two wildcats? If that is the case, I would be interested in any Hoover Elite style machines that are in need of repair and restoration. Hamilton is 45 mins away from me, my parents would never drive me as I am currently under the age to get a license or permit. It's very kind of you to say that you would deliver it but due to some reasons I am unable to disclose, I am unable to give my address unless it's for shipping stuff. My parents don't like when people just show up at the house.
