Just realized its very close to one of my grandpas in styling. Color seems the same.

He has the original hose and tools in the basement for it. No hassock that I can find.

I believe his is a later one as it has a power nozzle plug near the foot switch. And the decal is slightly different!

Compact changed so many little details within each model of vacuum. Its really cool to examen the differences.

Enjoy the fantastic world of Compact cleaning! One of the best and probably the most indestructible canisters around.

Sam, congratulations on the Compact....

I just picked up a later version Compact C6 with the PN receptacle at the back & will be doing a restoration on it. It came with just the hose & rug nozzle, but I am sure the other pieces will be easy to find.

Thank you! So far its outperformed some of my uprights. Im actually using it right now!

BTW, apparently the bag is made of cloth, like some old Luxes.
But its seperating from the opening; would it be okay to glue it?

I've had a few different Compacts & Revelations come and go over the years. The one I have now is a turquoise C7 [see photo]. The hose is very cool-looking -- silver with turquoise stripes going in two different directions.

The Compacts (and all the various variations and iterations) are great machines, very powerful, well made, and easy to use. But for some reason I've just never been able to warm up to them. I suppose it's because I never saw one in my childhood. Didn't even know they even existed until I came to California and saw one for the first time when I was in my 20s.
